Police Data Act (Wpg)

All organizations using Boas must comply with the Police Data Act (Wpg). Since 2019, the data that Boas process as investigating officers is covered by this Wpg. The Wpg imposes requirements on the processing of police data to prevent misuse and safeguard the privacy of citizens. In addition, an audit obligation for those organizations follows from the Wpg.

The external Wpg audit must be repeated every four years. You will also have to share the results from this audit with the Personal Data Authority. If you don't, the regulator can take enforcement action.

Highberg helps! By preparing and performing the internal audit with you, or performing the external audit, or implementing improvements. With our help you will become Wpg-proof!
