Highberg considers careful handling of your personal data to be of great importance. In this Privacy Statement we have listed for you how we handle your personal data. Here you can read which personal data we process from you, for what purposes, how long we store your data, to whom we pass on your data and what influence you can exert on it yourself.

This Privacy Statement applies to all personal data that Highberg processes in the context of this website and in the context of the services we provide. For the data Highberg processes of its employees, trainees or associates we have a different Privacy Statement.
Whose personal data does Highberg process?
We may process personal data of all persons with whom we have contact or who visit this website. These include applicants, contact persons of our (potential) clients, (potential) business partners and (potential) suppliers.
Who is responsible for the processing of your personal data?
The party responsible for processing your personal data is Highberg B.V., located at Barbara Strozzilaan 201 in Amsterdam. The controller is the one who decides whether and, if so, which personal data are processed, for what purpose and in what way.
Highberg processes your personal data in the context of carrying out the following activities:
Website visit
- During website visit: IP address, visit data and cookies
Purpose: To analyze website usage so that the website can be optimized for visitors. In addition, we use the analysis to determine our advertising strategy. We base this on the information we have collected via cookies or similar techniques about your use of the Highberg website/social media/blogs/podcasts. Finally, we collect the data to improve our products and services (including via our website) or to solve (technical) problems when using the website or our services. - When registering for the newsletter: name, organization name and e-mail address
Purpose: To inform you about our services and other activities. - When getting in touch about Highberg products or services: name and address details, e-mail address, telephone number and company details
Purpose: To provide you with the right products and/or services and to contact you if necessary. - When registering for events: name and address, e-mail address, telephone number and company details
Purpose: To handle your registration and to contact you if necessary.
Personal contact
- When making contact by telephone, contact via the website, forms, e-mail or social media: personal data depending on the type of information you provide us.
Purpose: To answer your questions, make offers or to improve the quality of our services. The data you send us by e-mail will be kept for as long as necessary for the complete answering and handling of the e-mail.
Job Applications
- When completing the application form and sending application details by e-mail: name and address, e-mail address, telephone number, CV and any motivation.
Purpose: To assess your suitability for a certain position or assignment, to record your availability and to bring you into contact with or introduce you to one or more (potential) clients and/or relations.
The provision of your data to (potential) clients/relations always takes place with your permission. We store this personal data for a maximum of 4 weeks after the end of the application procedure, unless we are allowed to keep your data longer with your explicit permission for future vacancies.
We only process your personal data for the stated purposes. When we use your data for other (closely related) purposes, we will inform you about this and take the necessary measures.
How does Highberg handle your personal data?

Transferring to third parties
We only provide your personal data to third parties, including (potential) clients, in the following situations:

Highberg may also be obliged to provide personal data on the basis of legislation or regulations, on the basis of a decision by a competent court, or in the event of fraud or abuse. If that is the case, Highberg will cooperate.
Transfer of your data to countries outside the European Economic Area
Highberg will not transfer your data to a company or branch in a country outside European Economic Area, unless a model agreement has been concluded for this purpose or if you have signed a statement in which you consent to the transfer.

What are your rights?
When Highberg processes your personal data, you have certain rights in accordance with the applicable regulations. These are explained below.
Right of access to your data
Do you want to know exactly which personal information of you we process? Then you can use your right of access.
Right to rectification
You have the right to rectify data if your data is incorrect or incomplete, for example with outdated address data.
Right to data erasure
You also have the right to have certain data removed. For example, when your data is no longer necessary for the purposes for which we received it or you object to the processing. However, we cannot always delete all requested data, because we are (or may be) legally obliged to keep certain data.

We will provide your digital data to you in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable manner if you request us to do so.

If you wish to exercise your rights, you can contact us using the contact details below or by sending us a letter with your name, address and telephone number. We will respond to your request within one month.
We may ask you to provide a proof of your identity so that we can check whether we provide or erase the personal data of the right person.
