Cleo van Engelen

Cleo is the Manager of the Sourcing and IT Governance team at Highberg. This team consists of advisors who focus on IT organizational challenges, mainly in the (semi) public sector, from procurement to implementation. In addition, she has been an advisor at Highberg for nearly ten years and has been working in IT and consultancy for 15 years. She specializes in IT-related issues where IT can make a tangible contribution to an organization's (business) objectives. She is an enthusiastic and goal-oriented advisor who enjoys working at the intersection of business, IT, and policy. Cleo is a true connector who can understand the diverse interests within an organization or process and translate them into workable IT solutions. She derives great satisfaction from her work when she can make a practical contribution to an organization. She is analytical, has excellent verbal and written communication skills, and handles pressure well. She quickly absorbs information, distinguishes between primary and secondary matters, and maintains a helicopter view. She is an independent worker who enjoys delving into a subject while involving colleagues to achieve better results together. Cleo sees IT as a tool that an organization can strategically, tactically, and operationally utilize to achieve organizational improvement. She carries out projects in the areas of policy (where do we want to go, what do we want to achieve), procurement (how do we get what we need), implementation (how do we integrate a chosen solution within the organization), and execution (how do we maintain control over the (IT) organization). In her view, results in part of this chain can only be achieved if you can see the dependencies and coherence of the whole. Cleo is happy to assist organizations with this.
