Is our absenteeism approach effective? Which interventions and providers deliver results?
Many organizations allocate significant budgets for preventive and curative absenteeism interventions. However, it often remains unclear whether these interventions are reaching the right target groups or if their implementation actually reduces absenteeism. An intervention effectiveness assessment can resolve these issues and help organizations realize ROI on their absenteeism interventions. What is the impact of these interventions in reducing absenteeism? Are they reaching the right people, and do they actually lead to lower absenteeism?
We assess the effectiveness of interventions in the following way:
Method?
To determine the impact of an intervention, we compare absenteeism rates between participants in the intervention and a control group (non-participants) as well as differences in absenteeism before and after the intervention period. Using analytics, we test whether an intervention has led to significant improvements. By also testing this for the control group, we can verify whether any improvement is genuinely due to the intervention.
Outcome?
For each intervention, we provide an overview of the differences before and after the intervention, including the results of the significance test, and whether the intervention's effect has been proven.
What is needed?
- Absenteeism history
- Data on the participants of the various interventions
- HR data of the employees (optional) to test interventions by target group.
Added Value?
- Insight into effectiveness: This provides a clear understanding of which interventions actually work, allowing for efficient allocation of resources.
- Accountability and Improvement: It enables you to justify interventions to management and stakeholders and continuously improve based on proven results. This clarity helps you better target the groups of employees you want to reach.
