For the past ten years, Wouter has worked on complex programs, managing change processes in areas such as collaboration and management (e.g., the North/South metro line, Tax Authority, CBR, Customs). Wouter ensures that problems are well-defined and that the approach is widely supported. He is mindful of different perspectives and potential sub-tasks, each requiring a unique approach and method of measurement. This could involve creating a schedule with deliverable results, developing a new professional skill (collaboration), or halting a way of working that obstructs progress. Wouter guides clients through these processes and serves as a point of reference for facilitators and key stakeholders during the execution of a change. The focus is always on collaboratively delivering added value to the profession exercised on behalf of the client. Complex programs often involve multiple stakeholders with diverse interests and views on what works and how things should be done. Different ways of thinking and acting within organizations have an impact on the program's objectives. Therefore, Wouter believes that asking probing questions, listening, and observing "what's really going on" is essential and fascinating. This drives him to make the right interventions, with the right people, at the right time. He believes that living through, embedding, and securing change starts with creating a widely supported problem definition. His background in Intercultural Communication (MA) and Management Sciences (MSc) helps him in this process.
