Marcel van Kooten

Marcel is a highly experienced Manager and Management Consultant with a focus on organizational development and change management, and on connecting strategy, organization, and execution to achieve governance objectives. Marcel is a lawyer and also studied Organization & Management. He has broad experience at the intersection of business and IT, from both the business side and the IT side, including at the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration. Marcel has gained extensive experience with management and consultancy assignments in organizational design and development, and at the intersection of business and IT across various organizations. These assignments at the executive and board levels included demand articulation in the context of procurement and outsourcing (Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport), evaluation of outsourcing for re-contracting and re-tendering (RWS national traffic management systems, Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport PGB), setting up IT production and service organizations (AFM, CIBG, Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, Ministry of Justice and Security), and interim IT management (healthcare organization, educational institution). Due to his experience in various roles, Marcel is capable of quickly establishing an overview and structure, providing direction, and offering practical approaches and work methods. Marcel possesses strong organizational sensitivity and is a team player focused on achieving results in terms of fostering collaboration, establishing connections with stakeholders and within teams, and achieving strategic goals, successful projects, and job satisfaction.
