Senior Consultant Strategic Sourcing
Digital Transformation - Zoetermeer
What are you going to do as Senior consultant strategic sourcing?
As a Senior consultant strategic sourcing, you advise our clients in various phases of an IT sourcing project. Our goal is to help clients organize and manage their IT in a way that contributes to their organizational objectives. This can include faster innovation, higher quality, or cost control. By doing so, you support and guide the client as effectively as possible during the digital transformation that many of our clients face. Based on this goal, you and the client formulate the organization's sourcing strategy. What should the organization handle internally, what can be outsourced, and what is the role of the cloud? All these topics may come up. You develop the business case for sourcing and assist the client in making the right decisions about whether or not to outsource.
Additionally, you take on, in various possible roles, the responsibility for supplier selection together with the client. Highberg carries out many (social) assignments within the public sector, often resulting from a European tender. You can take on a specialized role as a project manager, but also, for example, a generalist role as a quality controller. Thus, the role of Senior consultant strategic sourcing is a diverse one, where you can fulfill different roles for multiple clients simultaneously.
"I derive maximum energy from delivering advice that truly helps the client move forward, advice that ensures IT contributes to the organization's strategic goals. Highberg offers challenging projects in a professional and collegial environment, focused on quality."
Pim Schouten, Senior consultant strategic sourcing at Highberg
Examples of projects you will carry out as Senior consultant strategic sourcing
You might be assisting a client in the financial sector with outsourcing their IT environment to the cloud, or helping a government organization with the procurement of their telephony contracts. The common thread is that you enjoy helping clients achieve optimal setup and management of contracted IT services. This applies to both clients who outsource and Shared Service Organizations. You are adept at identifying the needs of clients, understanding what they aim to achieve with their IT landscape, and advising on what they need to get there. Whether it involves managing suppliers, developing business cases, or drafting an RFI, RFP, Statement of Requirements, or SLA to realize the sourcing strategy, you handle it all with ease!
What is our vision on IT sourcing?
The IT sourcing market is in full swing. Where organizations previously outsourced their IT to a single supplier, we now see that organizations are taking a much more nuanced approach: IT must support the organization's strategy and enable digital transformation. This means that organizations are more critical about what they can best handle themselves and what is better outsourced. The cloud is playing an increasingly important role in this. On one hand, cloud services enable the procurement of standardized services, while on the other hand, managing various clouds is becoming more complex. Think of information exchange and integration. Highberg helps organizations make the right choices in this area.
