What are you going to do as an IT Auditor?
As an IT auditor, you assess and advise on the design and governance of IT at our clients. You are the expert when it comes to conducting independent evaluations of IT systems and processes, with information security and privacy often being key focus areas. You will work closely with colleagues from various disciplines (including security, architecture, privacy, and data) in carrying out research and advisory assignments for clients.

Examples of projects you will carry out as an IT-auditor
As an IT auditor at Highberg, assignments can range from audits and independent investigations to consultancy requests. For example, you might conduct ENSIA and DigiD audits for municipalities or carry out independent research on the implementation of information security policies at various organizations. Typical clients include municipalities, water authorities, ministries, or executive agencies, with which Highberg has framework agreements for audit services. Additionally, as a consultant, you may be asked to provide advice on the implementation processes of new IT systems or the design of governance and control for information management within an organization, as well as the role of technology in that context. Points of contact with clients can include staff, management, and executives, as well as supervisory boards or boards of directors. This means you need to communicate effectively at different levels and be able to strike the right chord in the advisory and research reports you prepare.
What are we asking?
A completed HBO (Bachelor's) or WO (Masters) degree in the field of IT, preferably with (or in the process of completing) an RE (Register EDP Auditor) qualification.;
Experience with IT audit activities and/or conducting independent investigations;
Knowledge of commonly used frameworks, standards, and systems, such as BIO, BIG, NOREA, ENSIA, etc.;
Knowledge of IT systems (infrastructure, applications, cloud), IT governance, and developments in the field of information security and privacy is a plus;
Excellent command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written.

Within Digital Transformation, you will be part of the Sourcing & IT Governance expertise group. This group consists of about 25 people, including both employees and associates. Sourcing & IT Governance can be seen as a true reflection of Digital Transformation. Within the expertise group, there are highly experienced senior consultants as well as recently hired juniors. Additionally, there is a lot of diversity in educational backgrounds, ranging from public administration to information management, which creates a great synergy of knowledge and experience.
