What are you going to do as Cybersecurity consultant?

As a Cybersecurity consultant at Highberg, you play a crucial role in shaping cybersecurity and ICT risk management for our clients. Typically, you engage at a strategic level with executives from large municipalities, banks, and insurers, discussing the setup of IT security within their organizations.

You easily collaborate with managers and ICT specialists at a tactical level. Your focus includes aspects such as securing business processes, raising employee awareness, managing ICT infrastructure and operations, application security, and identity management, from assessment to design. Additionally, you address OT security, both technically and in management terms. As a consultant, you provide advice, oversee implementation, or assess the quality of security setups.

Information security, business continuity management, enterprise risk management, and cyber resilience are part of your daily expertise. You adeptly identify risks in business processes and recommend necessary measures to intervene effectively.

Examples of projects you will carry out as Cybersecurity consultant

Our clients value your practical and strong advisory skills. Through project-oriented and results-driven approaches, you help them secure and enhance business processes and ICT reliability by:

  • identifying risks within processes;
  • securing security in ICT architecture;
  • increasing employee awareness;
  • establishing security processes and basic management processes;
  • implementing cyber resilience;
  • ensuring compliance with security guidelines and privacy regulations;
  • assisting in achieving external certifications such as ISO2700x or NEN7510.

What are we asking?

  • A completed HBO (Bachelor's) or WO (Master's) degree, and several years of advisory experience;

  • Current knowledge of ICT risk management, cybersecurity, and business continuity management;

  • Experience in advising on the implementation of standards such as ISO2700x, BIO, Cobit, and the implementation of specific measures such as Identity & Access Management, data encryption, security in management processes, etc.;

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch.

  • You have a passion for cybersecurity and an interest in new developments such as IoT security, Security Operations, and cyber resilience;

  • Someone who can quickly grasp a problem and articulate it as simply as possible (both verbally and in writing);

  • A sociable individual who enjoys maintaining contact with clients and identifying commercial opportunities.
