Consultant Information Management

Consultant Information Management

Digital Transformation - Zoetermeer

What are you going to do as Consultant information management?

As an Information management consultant, you advise clients on the effective and responsible use of their information systems and how to organize and manage them. You assist clients in configuring and strategically steering their IT to maximize its contribution to their organizational goals. This means analyzing the functioning of the IT organization, IT processes, and IT management at clients. Based on this analysis, you provide advice on the governance that fits the goals and characteristics of the organization, including the necessary roles for optimal IT support during their digital transformation.

In this role, you bridge the gap between business and IT, clearly highlighting the challenges faced by both. You can act as an analyst, specialist, process manager, or information manager. It is a varied position where you perform different roles for multiple clients. Due to your broad skill set, you work alongside various specialists from the client and colleagues from Highberg.

  • You conduct an analysis of the maturity of IT governance processes and propose improvements in processes, roles, and management. In three months, together with a colleague, you form the best possible picture of the IT organization using our methodology and deliver an analysis, including a proposed improvement roadmap, to the client.
  • You assist a government organization in optimizing its structure to comply with the national information provision framework. You identify stakeholders, interview key players, research the history, and propose principles and final implementations.

You facilitate inspiration sessions with business and IT, collaborate with users, information architects, and specialists in various focus areas.
  • You coach information managers in their roles and advise them on the challenges they face. You observe their practical difficulties and act as a sparring partner who occasionally rolls up their sleeves to help.

What is our vision on information management?

Information provision forms the heart of many organizations. IT applications must always be available, and data must deliver reliable management and accountability information for strategic decisions. Increasing demands from legislation, regulations, and ethical considerations play a crucial role in shaping information provision.
Our clients are at the center of society and often use IT applications for collaboration with partners, making these applications valuable for customers and citizens. As a result, our advice often has a direct societal impact. Organizations need to add value and act responsibly. Effective information provision is an essential link in this process. We understand this value and connect various disciplines, approaching information provision with the questions: 'What is possible, what is permissible, and what is desirable?' In this way, we contribute to an information provision that supports the success of societal organizations.
