Geert is a driven and versatile program manager at the intersection of organization, processes, and ICT, with a focus on cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance. His goal is to ensure things get done, embed them in the organization, and continuously improve.

With over 25 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, Geert has expertise in implementing laws, regulations, and frameworks for information security and privacy (ISO 27001/27002, BIO, CSIR, NIS2, DORA, NIST, GDPR), auditing, and improving the maturity of information security and privacy in organizations.

Key activities include implementing the continuous improvement cycle (information security management system), organizational setup, governance, and establishing roles and responsibilities within organizations (based on the 3-levels model), often as part of digital transformations.

Geert is a results-oriented team player who works alongside people to achieve lasting outcomes by rolling up his sleeves. His drive is to strengthen organizations, teams, and employees. He ensures that things become clear and achievable for the organization, taking into account the risks and often conflicting interests at play. Geert makes the necessary changes concrete and manageable. Additionally, he helps organizations, together with a team of colleagues, function as an independent and critical conscience on complex ICT projects.
