Onboarding at Highberg

At Highberg, we believe that proper onboarding not only lays the foundation for success in your role, but also for a great experience within our organization. That's why we've developed a comprehensive onboarding process that takes place on three levels: job onboarding, hub onboarding, and Highberg onboarding. The aim of this is to ensure that you quickly feel at home and are fully prepared to start working in our team.

1. Job Onboarding: practicalities and feeling at home in your job

The first level of your onboarding focuses on everything you need to know and be able to do, to have a good start in your new role. Practical things like specific client information, access to systems, and other tools you'll need in your day-to-day work. In addition, we'll help you feel at home in your new role quickly. You will be given time to fully understand your role, get to know your colleagues, and build a good work structure.

2. Hub Onboarding: your home base and community

The second phase revolves around your integration within your specific hub or location. Here you will learn more about how the hub works, the culture, social activities organized there and can get acquainted with colleagues outside of your direct team. We help you find work-life balance, including learning about off-days, events and other facilities available. 

3. Highberg Onboarding: connecting across all hubs

On a third level you will have the Highberg onboarding, which brings all new colleagues from the past three months together, regardless of the hub they work for. This Highberg onboarding level aims to connect you to the bigger picture of Highberg so that you feel part of our broader vision and culture.

What does a typical onboarding day at Highberg Digital look like?

A day in the onboarding of Highberg Digital: 

  1. Start of the day - 9:00 am:
    The day starts with an introduction where you get to know your new colleagues. You walk get a tour around the office and shake everyone's hands.
  2. Meet the EG Managers:
    You will meet the EG (Expertise Group) Managers, who are important to your work area. They will help you find your way in your position and further support you during your integration.
  3. Cake moment - around lunch:
    Everyone who is new is invited to a nice lunch. The director welcomes all newcomers, and you get the chance to learn more about Highberg in an informal setting. This is also the time to ask questions and network with your new colleagues. Fun surprise; you and your new colleagues will cut a nice cake!
  4. In the afternoon - 1-on-1 mentoring calls:
    After lunch, the onboarding continues with individual interviews. You will meet your mentor, who will support you in your growth within Highberg. We think it's important that you have the chance to understand the Highberg identity early on, so we'll even invite you to some sessions before your onboarding day so you can get a sneak peek into Highberg's culture and rhythm.
  5. The purpose of the day:
    The main goals of the onboarding day are simple: you get to know the office and your colleagues, but most importantly, you get to know the atmosphere at Highberg. We want you to feel fully connected to our organization from the moment you start with us.

The buddy-system

Although the first three months of your onboarding are crucial to your integration, we won't just leave you to your own devices after that. You will be paired with a buddy who you can always chat with and who is always there for you. It is important that you continue to grow, and we support you in this through continuous guidance, feedback and opportunities to develop yourself further. Highberg not only provides the foundation for a successful start but continues to support you in your journey with us.
