'Having serious fun'
We strive for the highest achievable results and the highest quality, but we also believe that there is a life outside office hours. Given the speed and rhythm in which we lead our projects and lives, it’s important to take enough time to recover, relax, and recharge for the next milestone. This means it’s possible to work mainly independently of location and time, providing you with the flexibility and freedom to manage your time and work in a way that suits you, your job activities and your personal situation.
"Highberg gives me the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds, both in terms of education and experience. Within Highberg, we pay attention to each other, and everyone can be themselves. This makes me feel very comfortable, and I quickly seek out my colleagues to share knowledge and experiences."
Justine de Boer, privacy consultant at Highberg
At Highberg, we promote a healthy, balanced lifestyle because physical and mental fitness are prerequisites for mental well-being and happiness. Of course, we do this in a fun way and together. There are numerous sports events that we organize or participate in together at various locations in the country. It can involve 'regular' sports such as running, cycling, rowing, or walking. But we also engage in less conventional sports like wakeboarding, fencing, or ice hockey.
The core belief is that through collective sports activities, we also learn about the importance of training, teamwork, preparing for peak performance, recovery, a balanced diet, data and analysis, overcoming hard times, and celebrating success. We apply all these aspects in our own situation, both at work and in our personal lives.
In addition to sports activities, we actively participate in the annual National Vitality Week and provide healthy lunches and snacks at the office. Having lunch together is a way to nourish the inner self, but it's also a social moment of connection. And you can't have enough of those! (New Year's) drinks, (Christmas and summer) parties, department outings, our annual Highberg festival, and the Highberg book club: plenty of moments to unwind with your colleagues!
From experience, we all know that we perform best when we can be ourselves. That's why we strive to embody and balance our core values (Be committed, Be better, Be you) in every possible way. Being able to be oneself also means that we stand for a diverse, inclusive, and socially safe organization. An organization where everyone feels at home and that is accessible to all.
We welcome people from all walks of life and look out for each other, both as professionals and as individuals. This means making time for each other, respecting each other's values, and making an effort to collaborate harmoniously.
